Terms and conditions of use and software licence

This agreement governs the use of the Fish4rank platform (hereinafter, "the Application"), developed and managed by Xavier Netto Camero (hereinafter "the Author"), operating under the trade name Fish4kayak.

1. Intellectual property

The User acknowledges and agrees that all intellectual and industrial property rights over the software, source code (Spring Boot), allometric calculation algorithms, species databases, interface designs, logos and workflows are the exclusive property of the Author.

2. Licence of use

The Author grants the User a limited, personal, non-exclusive and revocable licence of use for the management of sport fishing events. This licence does not grant any rights over the source code nor does it permit sublicensing to third parties without express written consent.

3. Restrictions on reverse engineering and copying

It is strictly prohibited, and the User undertakes not to carry out or permit third parties to:

• Copy, modify, reproduce or create derivative works of the Application.
• Extract the weight and points calculation logic for use in competing applications.
• Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer or access the source code of the Application.
• Use the scientific parameters (a and b) and the species data structure outside the Application.

4. Protection of business logic (trade secret)

The User acknowledges that the technical implementation of the Generalitat regulations and the catch validation systems of Fish4rank constitute a trade secret of the Author. Any replication of this functional logic in competing products will be considered a violation of intellectual property rights and unfair competition.

5. Liability

The Application is provided "as is". The Author is not responsible for decisions made by competition judges or for the integrity of users' physical devices. The Author reserves the right to interrupt access if attempts to breach security or intellectual property are detected.

6. Jurisdiction

For any dispute arising from this agreement, the parties expressly submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Barcelona, Spain.
